Ocean Grove Motor Inn is located on the Bellarine Peninsula, about one and a half hour's
drive from Melbourne, the capital of Victoria,
Australia. It is twenty minutes drive from the regional city, Geelong, and can also be reached by train, bus and ferry.
The motor inn is ideally situated at the gateway to the Great
Ocean Road, one of the scenic drives of the world. Point Lonsdale, Lorne, the "Twelve Apostles" are all within striking
distance.
Ocean Grove has one of Victoria's best known "Surf
Coast" beaches. Bells Beach, Anglesea, Thirteenth Beach, Jan Juc and Torquay, the home of "Rip Curl", are nearby.
And a short walk from the motel, across the lovely
Barwon River, is our "sister" town, Barwon Heads. The river provides
great recreational fishing and it connects to Lake Connewarre (Aboriginal for "the home of the
swan"), a haven for sailing, windsurfing and birdwatching.
Immediately opposite the motel is the Ocean Grove
Golf Course. There are at least 16 golf courses on the Peninsula and
along the Great Ocean Road, including the famous Anglesea Golf
Course.
